When did you start drumming and why?

I started playing drums when I was 5. My neighbor was a drummer and I was intrigued. After hearing him play a lot, I decided to take lessons.

My parents always encouraged me to play an instrument, and I even took bass and piano lessons. But drums have always been my favorite style.

What’s your favorite style of drumming?

I started out with rock and pop, but over time I’ve come to appreciate all the current genres, like jazz, funk, hip-hop and so on.

I regularly like to launch a random playlist to make new discoveries.

What’s your favorite band/artist and why?

My favorite band is… hard to choose. To name just a few, I’d have to say Daft Punk, Muse and Coldplay, because they’re bands that remain very contemporary despite their age and have an incredibly diverse discography.

Why did you choose Vikory?

I’ve been playing with the same sticks for a long time and was disappointed to see their quality and durability decline over the years.

I discovered Vikory while hanging out on Instagram and was blown away by their design. It wasn’t until I sent them a message that I discovered they were in fact a French brand! So I went for it, and after using it, I was really surprised by its balance and the longevity of the wood. It holds rimshots really well without cracking.

Any special stories about you as a drummer?

The craziest project I ever took part in was “WE LOVE ROCK’N’ROLL” in Évreux, France. A show with around 1,000 musicians, including 250 drummers.

So many drums and drummers in one show, it was impressive, and I was lucky enough to be the drummer referee.

The atmosphere was really great and just browsing through the many drum kits was incredible, as they all reflected the personality of each drummer. It was truly magical.

What’s your favourite Vikory model and why?

link My favorite model is the Alebrije in 7A. In my opinion, it’s the most colorful, with very atypical patterns.
