Collection of data / personal data
We collect personal data in accordance with legal regulations. We use personal data that you transmit to us via our website exclusively for the purposes described in more detail below. This occurs within the framework of the respective legal provisions or only with your consent.
Article 6 of the EU GDPR specifically requires consent to data processing. VIKORY collects personal data if:
- we have your consent (Article 6 (1) (a) of the EU GDPR),
- the data is necessary for the performance of a contract/pre-contractual measures (Article 6 (1) (b) of the EU GDPR),
- the data is necessary to fulfill a legal obligation (Article 6 (1) (c) of the EU GDPR), or
- the data is necessary to protect the legitimate interests of our company, provided that your legitimate interests do not override them (Article 6 (1) (f) of the EU GDPR). We believe that we have an overriding legitimate interest in data processing, particularly in the following cases:
Processing of data during your surfing behavior Fraud prevention and reduction of the risk of payment default
To provide you with the best possible shopping experience in the VIKORY online shop, we create a pseudonymous user profile tailored to your needs. This allows us to provide you with the same level of online advice as a salesperson can in a personal conversation in a store. At the same time, we use the data collected by our web analytics tools to track the use of our services and continuously improve them. Further information can be found in the “Data processing while browsing” section.
Personalized advertising on partner sites
In order to optimize our marketing efforts not only in terms of cost but, above all, in terms of content, we collect and process data about your usage behavior on the various devices you use. This enables us to offer you customized online offers on third-party websites tailored to your personal interests. As a user, you benefit from this by receiving more relevant and interesting advertising when visiting other websites, rather than uninteresting and random advertising. Further information can be found under “Advertising on partner sites.”
Fraud prevention and reduction of default risk
To minimize the risk of payment defaults, a credit check is performed during the payment process. Payment options are then selected and displayed. All submitted contracts that pose a risk of fraud are then reviewed by an employee, and appropriate fraud prevention measures are implemented. Further information can be found in the “Payment Systems / Credit Check / Fraud Prevention” section.
Maintaining the security of our systems / Troubleshooting
For technical security reasons, particularly to protect against intrusion attempts on our web servers, we store data in accordance with Article 6 (1) (f) of the EU GDPR. No connection to an individual user is established. We collect, in particular, the following data: Internet browser and operating system used / name of the Internet service provider / information about the website from which you visited us / information about the web pages you visit on our site / date and time of your visit / name of the requested file / whether the file, e.g., was transferred / volume of data transmitted / IP address assigned by the ISP.
Of course, the personal data collected is treated confidentially.
Retention period and criteria determining the duration
CG-MC (Brand: VIKORY) processes and stores your personal data only for the period necessary to achieve the purpose of the processing or for as long as a legal retention period (in particular commercial and tax) requires it. In some cases, it is necessary to transmit the personal data processed as part of data processing. This involves different recipients and categories of recipients.
Internal positions
If necessary, we will transfer your personal data to the VIKORY Group. In doing so, we naturally comply with the relevant legal framework and ensure that your data is processed correctly. Only authorized employees who, due to their position, require access to the data, e.g., to process your order or to contact you in case of questions, have access to your personal data.
External authorities
Personal data is transmitted, in accordance with legal requirements, to the following categories of recipients:
- Service providers for the fulfillment of the purpose
- Shipping service providers, suppliers, payment services
- Companies responsible for credit checks
- Companies providing marketing services
- Communication systems providers
- Public authorities and institutions, if necessary or required
Secure transmission of your data
To better protect the data we store against random or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction, or access by unauthorized persons, we implement technical and organizational security measures. The security level is constantly monitored in collaboration with security experts and adapted to new security standards.
Even when transmitting data within the CG-MC Group (Brand: VIKORY) or to our partners/third parties, the security of your data remains our top priority. We therefore use secure transmission methods:
Data transmission generally takes place over an encrypted connection during transit. We use state-of-the-art protocols such as TLS 1.2 (with forward secrecy).
Data exchange to and from our website is therefore only encrypted. For our website, we offer HTTPS as the transmission protocol using current encryption protocols.
Links to other providers
Our website also contains clearly recognizable links to websites of other companies. Where links lead to websites of other providers, we have no influence on their content. We assume no liability for this content. The respective provider or operator of the respective pages is solely responsible for the content of these pages. Processing of data during your browsing
As mentioned in the first part, it is important to us to offer you the best possible shopping experience at VIKORY. To do this, we create your user profile under a pseudonym, which allows us to advise you online as precisely as a salesperson would during a personal meeting in store. This allows us to ensure that products are displayed according to your interests and that uninteresting offers are hidden. In addition, we can tailor our offer to your personal needs, so that we display relevant products and hide uninteresting offers. At the same time, we use the data collected in our web analysis tools to record how the services we offer are used in order to continuously improve them.
User profile under a pseudonym for personal and individual advice and product recommendations
To create the user profile under a pseudonym, we analyze, for example, which products interest you based on the products you see in our online shop and in the app and your purchasing behavior with us based on what you put in your shopping cart.
Data collected
When you log in to the online shop as an existing VIKORY customer, we associate that browser or device with your account for purposes such as authentication, security, and personalization. Depending on your settings, we may also link your account to other browsers or devices you use to log in to your Twitter account (or link your offline device or browser to other browsers or devices). The collected data is processed by the service providers defined in this paragraph, although transmission to third countries may be excluded. Furthermore, data processing and storage only takes place for the period necessary to achieve the processing purpose or as long as required by a statutory retention period (in particular commercial and tax-related). After the processing purpose has been achieved or after the statutory retention period has expired, the data concerned is routinely deleted.
In doing so, we rely on our legitimate interest in accordance with Article 6 (1) (f) of the EU GDPR. You can exercise your data subject rights at any time. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Withdrawal
Under applicable law, you have the right to object to the storage and use of this data at any time with effect for the future by notifying us via the contact page: Contact Page.
Advertising on partner sites
To optimize our marketing efforts, not only in terms of costs but also, and more importantly, to improve our content, we collect and process data about your usage behavior across the various devices you use. This allows us to offer tailored online offers tailored to your personal interests on third-party websites. As a user, you benefit from this process by receiving more relevant and interesting ads, and less boring and random ads when you visit other websites.
The following provides an overview of our partners.
Google AdWords Remarketing et Conversion Tracking
Our website uses Google AdWords Remarketing to advertise this website in Google search results and on third-party websites. The provider is Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”). For this purpose, Google places a cookie in your device’s browser that allows you to automatically generate interest-based ads based on the pages you visit. This processing is based on our legitimate interest in optimally marketing our website in accordance with Article 6 (1) (f) of the GDPR, and you may assert your rights as a data subject at any time.
Data processing for other purposes only takes place if you have consented to Google linking your internet browser and/or app history to your Google Account and account information. This may allow Google to display personalized ads based on what you browse on the internet. In this case, if you are logged in to Google while visiting our website, Google will use your data together with Google Analytics data to create and define target group lists for cross-device remarketing purposes. To do this, your personal data is temporarily linked to Google Analytics data to create target groups.
This website uses the online advertising program “Google AdWords” and, within the framework of Google AdWords, conversion tracking from Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”). We use Google AdWords to draw attention to our attractive offers on external websites using ads (Google AdWords). Based on the data from the advertising campaigns, we can evaluate the success of various advertising measures. In doing so, we pursue the goal of displaying advertising that matches your interests, making our website more interesting, and ensuring a fair calculation of advertising costs.
The conversion tracking cookie is placed when a user clicks on an AdWords ad placed by Google. Cookies are small text files stored on your computer system. These cookies generally expire after 30 days and are not used for personal identification. If the user visits certain pages of this website and the cookie has not expired, Google and we can recognize that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to our site. Each Google AdWords customer receives a different cookie. Cookies cannot be tracked through the websites of AdWords customers. The information collected using the conversion cookie is used to compile conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have opted for conversion tracking. This allows customers to know the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information that personally identifies users.
You can permanently disable the use of cookies for advertising purposes by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link: https://www.google.com/settings/ads/onweb/
You can also learn more about cookies from the Digital Advertising Alliance at www.aboutads.info and make the necessary settings. Finally, you can configure your browser to be informed about the use of cookies and to accept or reject them on a case-by-case basis, or to accept cookies in certain cases or reject them altogether. If you do not accept cookies, the functionality of our website may be limited.
Personal data may be transferred to the United States by Google LLC. However, Google LLC is certified under the European Privacy Shield, which guarantees compliance with the level of data protection applicable in the EU.

Bing Ads
This website uses Microsoft’s “Bing Ads” conversion tracking technology (Microsoft Corporation, One Microsoft Way, Redmond, WA 98052-6399, USA). In doing so, Microsoft Bing Ads places a cookie on your computer as soon as you arrive on our website via a Microsoft Bing advertisement. Cookies are small text files stored on your computer system. These cookies expire after 180 days and are not used for personal identification. When the user visits certain pages of this website even though the cookie has not expired, Microsoft and we can recognize that the user clicked on the advertisement and was redirected to our site (conversion site). If personal data must be processed in this process, this is done in accordance with Article 6 (1) and (f) of the GDPR, based on our legitimate interest in carrying out effective marketing measures.
The information collected using the conversion cookie is used to create conversion statistics, i.e., to determine how many users landed on the conversion page after clicking on the ad. This allows us to know the total number of users who clicked on our ad and were directed to a page with a conversion tracking tag. We do not receive any information that personally identifies users.
Personal data may be transmitted to the United States by Microsoft Corporation. Microsoft Corporation, based in the United States, is certified under the European Privacy Shield, which guarantees compliance with the level of data protection applicable in the EU.
If you do not wish to participate in tracking, you can object by easily deactivating the Bing Ads conversion tracking cookie in your internet browser’s user settings. This way, you will not appear in the conversion tracking statistics. You can also use the EU consumer opt-out page http://www.youronlinechoices.com/uk/your-ad-choices/ to check whether Microsoft advertising cookies are being placed in your browser and disable them.

The data collected is anonymous to us and does not allow us to discover the identity of the user. However, this data is stored and processed by Facebook, so that a link to the respective user profile is possible and Facebook can use it for its own advertising purposes, in accordance with Facebook’s privacy policy (https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/). You can allow Facebook and its partners to display ads on and off Facebook. In addition, a cookie may be stored on your computer for these purposes.
